MACE has mapped out the various car audio competitions to be held around the whole of Malaysia in 2009 :

In order to allow more people to understand car audio and encourage greater participation in the competition, MACE will introduce a new category namely " SQC.R(Rookie).  Rules and regulations for SQC.R will be similar to Amateur Stock A.  The only difference is the requirement of headunit, the price of the headunit cannot exceed RM600.00 or the output signal (RCA) cannot exceed two sets of RCA.  Each competition is also limited to 6 cars.  SQC.R will be judged from the driver's seat.

In order to allow more car owners to take part in the competition, the Champion and 1st Runner-Up are not allowed to take part in subsequent two competitions but are allowed to compete in the third or subsequent events.
